Poem #7

The Rose

by
Randy L. Redmond
Source:
Tears rolling from the heartstrings, p.29

This rose grew from my heart
My blood runs through its petals
And if you hold it real close
It will try and love you back
But sometimes it even has to hide
And sometimes it will have cried
But it will come back
If you take care of me

As I kiss your nose
I give you this rose
For the help you lend
For the love you send
For the time you spend
From a heart that knows
That you need this rose.

This rose came from my mind
My thought flows up the stem
And if you think real, real hard
It can tell you if you're right
But sometimes it can't do that
And sometimes it will fall flat
But it does appear
When you need this rose.

Poem #8:

The Delicate Rose

by Randy L. Redmond
Source: Tears rolling from the heartstrings, p. 88

The delicate rose, sometihng like you
Dreams that were soft
Dreams that were new
Only if dreams would come true
Only if roses came in blue
The delicate rose, that everyone knows
Knows you.
