"The Creek"

by Randy L. Redmond
Source: Tears rolling down the heartstring, p.53

The rise and fall of the creek
Like every beat of your heart
There are good days and bad days
But we still move ahead
Over that what we dread
And we still climb above
Even that what we love
To make it through
The creek in you.

The spring rains brings a rise to the creek
The earth needs just one more drink
Summer's heat brings a fall to the creek
The night cools those sultry weeks
Autumn's breeze brings a leaf to the creek
The color changes what another seeks
Winter's cold brings a freeze to the creek
The ice makes your outlook bleak

The rise and fall of the creek
Like any love of your life
There are happy and sad days
But we try to survive
After that what's derived
And we may fall behind
Although that what we find
May shape the true
The creek in you

"A Flash of Memories"

by Randy L. Redmond
Source: Tears rolling down the heartsting, p. 3

Remember what she's given
Remember what she's taken
Just think of all the friends she's making
Because a flash of memories will flood in
And deep down the feelings are within

Remember when she laughed
Remember when she cried
Never forget all the things she tried
Because a flash of memories will flood in
Then inside the healing can begin

Remember who she's met
Remember who she's known
Start holding all the love she's shown
Because a flash of memories will flood in
And living with something you can't hold in

Remember why she's smiling
Remember why she's caring
Listen to all the stories she's sharing
Because a flash of memories will flood in
Thinking you need someone to reach in

Remember where she's gone
Remember wher she's been
Because a flash of memories will flood in
Remember how she lived
Remember how she made
A flash of memories, come to your heart
Now apart, but never gone
Life goes on and on and on
