Editor's Message - Feb 2005

A warm greeting to poetry  lovers and book lovers!

We added a new section - Resources. This is a section  about topics that are of interest to poets and writers.  Topics of interest include  Nobel laureates in literature and  poetry websites which  are now open for the readers, poets and writers. Soon to be open in the Resources Section  are the websites related to the Pulitzer Prize in Poetry, poetry organiations, poetry contests, etc.  that our readers would love to visit.

Muses Review announces its Persons of the Year.2004.  Mel Gibson is Muses Review's Male Artist of the Year 2004.  JK. Rowling is Muses Review's Female Artist of the Year.  The basis of choosing the Person of the Year will be explained on March 2005.

We divided the Reviews Section into two sections- Book Reviews and Poem Reviews.
:
In this February 2005 issue, the editor gives a poem review on the following:
a. Mark Stellinga's poem 'Old Babe'
b. Mark Stellinga's poem 'El Matador'
a.  Katie Davis-Steward's poem "The Best Cup of Coffee",
b. Jill A. Terry's poem "The Season of You"
b. Randy L. Redmond's poem  "The Creek"

Well, I hope you enjoy reading the poem reviews for this Winter 2005 - February  edition.

We added a new section - Donate Section.
Muses Review supports charity organizations like the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Paralytic Veterans of USA and many more.

Meanwhile, , the Book Reviews section is on its own. We have a new guest reviewer from Wisconsin in the person of Charles P. Reis. He made a chapbook review on Rhina Espaillet's chapbook "
Mundo Y Palabra - The World and the Word". I gave a short review on Katie's book -The Beginning of the Tumbling.

Finally, our featured  poet for February is Randy L. Redmond from Illinois.  Read Muses Review's interview with Randy a mathematically-inclined guy who likes to compose romantic poetry.

Very truly yours,
