I would rather give up almost anything.

u want to get liposuction in egypt?
that is the where the whore is, thank you.
was yr dads name on her thights?
was yr dads name almost anything?
my fathers name was green stuff.
its disgusting. i like to throw thins.
I could swear its george burns.
what's with the fetuses?
what's going on? u said he's not dead.
dead people in a fancy drawer.
yes, please come here stuffing yr face.
i don't want to have almost anything.
I dont want to have my fat sucked.
why are we talking? i would rather give up.
death and thigh fat and stuff.
was my fathers name bernards thighs?
wnehn iim in the tub i like to throw things.

Purse No Birds (2004)

just drink the black eyes
just drink like a pelican
yesterday u missed her blue
u were falling apart in lingo
bomb shelter anyone can
have a key i like brazilians
with migraines a man
is talking as fast as a
bomb shelter i say
i don't like winter
i see a hand, silver hair
its winter in boulder
new mexico, i can do it
crumbs of my blue
she want to be his face
painted primitive
silver hair like winter
just drink in the black dress
yr gone and she wants to be
the black eyes.

Pelican Moon

by Donna Kuhn
Source: Purse No Birds (2004)

where are the caves, pelican moon?
almonds in yr teeth, sarcastic sandpaper

a planet in yr teeth, skin the cowboy moon
good, now chatter;  thanks for the baby toys

abstraction and moon doors
moon of paper horses

thanks for the torn out lake
trees are t.v. now

imitation baby skin, italian mermaids
when u come in and don't

the freeway has every cowboy
u come here, feel plutonium

idiot happiness, snoring songe
how my father is torn out

paper horses enuf for u
under a bird

thanks for the italian moon
now skin the cowboy a planet

where are the caves enuf for u
father is torn out of a snoring spnge.
