Introduced by Phill Alexander as "someone who can justifiably be called a member of the British Rock Royalty", Brain May recievd a standing ovation as he took to the stage to the familiar strains of 'WE WILL ROCK YOU', Wearing the most garish jacket ever spotted at the K! Awards. Winner Muse practically sprinted to the stage to pick up their award. Matt Bellamy pointing to May and gasping "F**king hell."
Clearly taken aback, the Muse frontman's acceptance speech ran along the lines of, "Nice one... What do you say... Wow... Cheers," before pulling himself together to thank everybody at his tabel plus K! journo Paul Brannigan for "seeing the truth of what we do on tour."

What do you think about winning the award?

"Very suprised. I knew we were up for three beforehand, but the fact the readers voted for us, thats a good sign don't you think?"

What was going through your mind as you were going onstage?

"And he went running up the stairs"

"I just kept thinking, you wrote wrote 'WE WILL ROCK YOU'. We won an award in another music magazine last year, but this is much better, it's more loose. When we first came out, people thought we were a whiney indie band, but we've always been a heavy band when we play live"

What's the plan for the rest of the evening?

"See what happens and try to get laid."
