Hesitation
Poetry
Main
Voices shout in cacophony,
Enveloping the brain, shutting out
Words.
Raucous laughter punctures
Sound-proof barriers,
The way dynamite
Perforates buildings.
Louder and louder, the volume
Rises.
I scream silently, undaring
To add to the chaotic melody.
Finally the reverberations
Crash the wall,
Knocking me to the floor.
All in vain.
