I asked various people what they thought of their hair, and here, in edited but unabridged splendor, are their answers:
"Sure, I like it. It's blonde. I've started to highlight it but I still have my base color." -- GIRL, 17
"Yeah, I like it. It's turned a different color since I've been getting perms, but that's OK." -- GIRL, 15
"I love my hair color and won't let anyone change it EVER!" -- GIRL, 15
"Yeah, love it. Mine is blonde with sort of brownish streaks." -- GIRL, 16
"I love the colour of my hair but if i had to change it, it would be blond. " -- GUY, 17
"I don't like it. It used to be black, then I dyed it loads of colours - burgandy, red. I bleached my fringe but I can't get the colour I want! Because I bleached it and I dyed it red again, my fringe has gone a disgusting orangey colour. I can't get rid of it and I have to keep dying my hair red until it grows out." -- GIRL, 16
"I guess I like it. It's blackish brown but i'm thinking about changing the color. " -- GIRL, 16
"It's hazel brown and I love it!" -- GIRL, 16
"Right now? Hmm, I don't really like it. I dyed it red awhile back, and it's very bright ~ a bit Little Mermaid-ish." -- GIRL, 18
"Hell no, I don't like it, because it's fading like a bitch. I dyed it fuchsia about a month ago and now it's turning this crap colour. I'll be re-dying it soon though." -- GIRL
"Some days I like it, some days I don't ." -- GIRL, 17
"Sure I like it. Otherwise I wouldnt have dyed it that colour! " -- GIRL, 16
"I love it, because it's light brown with lighter streaks through it (natural), but I wanna dye it soon beacuse I'm bored of the same colour, but then my natural colour will probably never come back. Hmm." -- GIRL, 16
"Yeah, man, I like it, but I'm thinking of dying it black, just for a change. " -- GUY, 19
"I like my hair, which has never been died or permed. It is about 5 inches below my shoulder and is medium brown. It is straight and is shiny." -- GIRL, 19
"My hair is dirty blonde. Not much past my shoulders. It is naturally curly (as in Felicity) but I get straighteners (chemical), blow dry it straight, and use a iron. So it looks like Jennifer Aniston before her locks got chopped, except mine is a little thicker. And I love it to death. " -- GIRL, 33
"Well, I recently added red streaks to my dark brown hair. It's a little bit past shoulder-length. I like it better, but I have bad hair days all the time! I really need new ideas for it." -- GIRL, 17
"Color- silvery blonde.
Style- to my shoulders but a little layered.
I don't like it ." -- GIRL, 17
"I'm addicted to my hair; it's blonde, shoulder leingth, and no split ends! Never dyed either!" -- GIRL, 15
"My hair is -to be exact- 1 inch long. Sometime 1.5 inches if I let it grow. And sometimes bleached or red if I have the money to spend. Since I got it cut in 8th grade, people have referred to me as a boy; my favorite remark was this, by a 15 or 16 year old girl: I was getting my ears pierced at Piercing Pagoda 'cause they were doing some sale on ear piercing (hoorah). Well, there I am sitting there. Two girls walk by and stop about 6 feet in front of me... they whisper to each other.
Girl #1: Hey, look at that guy.
Girl #2: What? That's a girl... isn't it?
Girl #3: No way, he's hot; he's such a guy.
Girl #4: Go ask.. i swear it's a girl.
And they continued the conversation until I got up and left." -- GIRL, 18
"My hair is dyed bright red, and goes down to my waist. People tell me it's pretty. It says about me that I like long red hair on my head. It used to be blonde, but i looked like an Anna Nicole Smith trophy wife with it. I once dyed it orange accidentally with Kool-Aid. That was fun. A girl at school walked by me once and said "Eh,her hair looks like she dipped it in ketchup." So I said, "Fuck you, bitch!" and that was the end of that." -- GIRL, 17
"I keep my hair the color I was born with (golden brown) right below my shoulders; well, maybe an inch and a half past my shoulders." -- GIRL, 16
"My hair used to reach the bottom of my rib cage. It was dark brown and wavy; I looked like a hippie. One day I said, "I'm getting my hair cut," and everyone said, "No, no you're not!" So I did. It was 3 inches long. I dyed it red, now it's orange and red and it fits in a tiny ponytail. It's fun. I like putting feathers in it." -- GIRL, 17
"I used to have real short hair and I started to let it grow. I had 7 inch liberty spikes but my mommy stopped letting me spike it (she hid the gel and wouldn't let me leave) and that got alot of "FREAK!"
Now, I got purple dreads. Um, people find them really neat-feeling, and some people find them extremly gross. I get alot of stares, that's it. When I used to spike my hair I got all kinds of names." -- GIRL, 15
"I like it when I eat well and so on, but right now it's gotten really dull." -- GIRL, 18
"NO, I hate it! I mean, it's okay, but really blonde does NOT fit me so well. So I think I am going to dye it black.... but my mom would have my head on a stick. Oh well." -- GIRL, 16
"Yeah, I like it, blondes have more fun!" -- GIRL, 15
"It's just brown. I've never dyed it, and I never will. I don't really care." -- GIRL, 17
