HeAdBaNgErWiLlIe: so did you ever come up with an answer for my question?
HeAdBaNgErWiLlIe: Ohh, evolution.
HeAdBaNgErWiLlIe: You believe in the Darwin Theory.
HeAdBaNgErWiLlIe: Charles Darwin, one of the men I despise most. ;-)
Atheist142: what was your question, again? and I think that Darwin
was on the right track, but I rather prefer the "punctuated
equilibrium" theory
HeAdBaNgErWiLlIe: punctuated equilibrium, eh?
Atheist142: mmhmm
HeAdBaNgErWiLlIe: please exlpain
Atheist142: that's where organisms evolve with (relatively) short
bursts of evolution, consisting of several thousand years, with long
spans of little change in between.
HeAdBaNgErWiLlIe: did Darwin not state that?
Atheist142: well, first... when he wrote his book it's doubtful that he
thought it applies to humans. and even then, he thought that changes
happened gradually over a long period of time, with the organisms
constantly changing (which does happen in some organisms, as with
viruses)
HeAdBaNgErWiLlIe: I apologize, my mind is wandering. I may not be able to
make logical statements tonight.
Atheist142: that's ok... :-) np
HeAdBaNgErWiLlIe: As a matter of fact, I think I'd better go get some rest.
HeAdBaNgErWiLlIe: I've been awake for quite some itme
