The spouses to many of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren can be found in Starr’s History and Starr’s Notes as well as in the roll applications.

Five of the Ross families’ descendants are believed to have traveled with John Drew’s detachment on the Trail of Tears in 1838; Elijah Hicks led another group.  The families of William Nave (Annie had died in 1826) and Joseph Coodey came in 1834 with Lt. Joseph H. Harris’ detachment.  Andrew Ross and his family are believed to have emigrated in 1836 or 1837.
