A little about the town of Murray, Iowa:
Murray Iowa exists because of the railroad that goes through the center.
It is a very rural town, 10 miles west of Osceola, and about twice as far east of Creston.
The population is estimated to be about 720 people.
We have a community center, library, a branch of Clarke County State Bank, a post office, Miller's Grocery, Mustang Express (a conveniance store with town pride), the Homestead (a restaurant), Cuts and Capers, and several other small businesses.
There are no:
Stoplights, we have signs, but not at every intersection, so REMEMBER TO YIELD!
Malls or clothing stores of any sort.
Movie theaters, but years ago there was one untill it caught on fire. |
