Below are some of the types of activities we offer.
Monthly Business Meeting: Once a month, the entire chapter comes together for a business meeting. This is a time to mingle and meet others, though we do cover any items of business and we often have guest speakers. Some of the speakers have focused on topics such as: children's dentistry, infant/child CPR and children's nutrition.
Kids Activities: Each month we plan several daytime activities focused on enjoyment for the kids. Some examples are: visits to the local fire station, trips to the zoo, afternoons at the children's museum and playtime at a variety of local parks.
Moms Activities: Each month we have a few activities focused more on the moms (though the kids still have fun, too!). Some of our outings have been: coffee hours, scrapbooking sessions, stroller walking, cooking clubs, and MOMS Night Out. Although these activities are scheduled for the moms to enjoy, kids are welcome to come along.
Holiday Events: We have several holiday themed parties throughout the year... Last year we had an Easter Egg hunt at the park, a costume party for Halloween, Valentine's card decorating party and an end of the year party. We love to have fun!
Playgroups: We have several playgroups within the chapter, all set up around the children age groups. We try to place each interested mom in a playgroup that's best suited for her child(ren). Playgroups meet ona regular basis at parents' homes or at other kid-friendly venues.
Newsletter: We send a monthly newsletter to help keep you up-to-date with all of the chapter news, the event calendar, fun tidbits, and more!
