Summary of Highdale

Highdale

Created during the third age Highdale is home to a sweet fruit known as Prickle Pear. Highdale is the only place in all the lands of Murkwood that can successfully grow this much sought after treat! Each year Highdale hosts its �Harvest Festival� a month long celebration during which time the Prickle Pears are harvested and sold in the Highdale central market. Feasts, shows, and spectacles abound during the festival. A potent sweet tasting liquor is also produced from the Prickle Pear that is said to be irresistible to all who try it! The whole economy of Highdale relies on the success of the Harvest Festival. Highdale maintains a small well equipped and trained army to protect its borders. This army is fed a steady diet of daily doses of Prickle Pear. The Prickle Pear is rumored to increase stamina in people who consume a steady flow of it. This fact is given credence by the fact that the army of Highdale can march and fight for one week without rest of any kind! This is a useful trait considering Highdales location next to the Great Unknown!!!
