Summary of Darkinor
Darkinor Created during the first age by a group of Mithrander. The Mithrander are also called magi or in the common tongue Wizards. These Mithrander established Darkinor on land granted to them by the Elves of Fardale. The Mithrander and Elves share many similar interests, so a natural alliance was established. The Mithrander founded the �Guild of the Dark Mages� named not for any evil purpose but for the secretive practices of the members. Darkinors economy is sustained by the magical skills and services rendered to the various occupants of the lands of Murkwood. These skills are highly regarded and are traded openly for coin and barter. Through the years many notable Mithrander have made names for themselves by performing mythical acts of magic in times of dire crisis. Some say the reason the evil presense from the �Great Unknown� does not launch a full scale assault on Murkwood is due to various powerful spells and enchantments the Mithrander have put in place to keep the evil in check! The borders Darkinor itself are guarded by many such spells and enchantments making any kind of invasion into the realm of the Dark Mages a terrifying prospect indeed! Darkinor is a combination of deep dark wooded areas and bright open fields, both are very suitable for the practices of magic.
