MURDER ON THE NILE
CAST BIOGRAPHIES
Serena Greene (1st Beadseller):
Serena is excited to once again be performing on the stage after a decade hiatus. If you were lucky, or unlucky depending on your view, you could have seen her as one of the singing dancing monks in a play so long ago she can't remember what it was called. Her first theatrical endeavor was in grade school where she wrote, directed and performed in
The Dysfuntional Kitchen Table. The play received rave reviews and had four performances.
She is the proud mother of three sons, Aaron, Raymond and Ethan, who was the King in Frisco Community Theatre's production of Cinderella. She is hopeful that Ethan will become rich and famous as an actor so he can put her in the best old folks home when she becomes extremely old, which isn't going to happen for another century or so. She would like to thank Fairfax, Mariah, Hades and Angel for their never ending faith in her. Also she would like to thank her husband, Wayne, for putting up with her and humoring her.
Wayne Greene (2nd Beadseller):
Wayne is proud to be making his theatrical debut with this production of
Murder on the Nile. Wayne brings over 30 years of performing as a folk musician to the stage. He has played major festivals including Kerrville Folk Festival (TX) and Musickfest (PA), college concerts, and venues such as Poor David's Pub (Dallas), Uncle Calvin's (Dallas), Cactus Cafe (Austin),  Anderson Fair (Houston) , and The Ice House (Emlin, PA). Wayne released a CD entitled Wayne Greene, Himself in 2001. Wayne also programs two Internet radio stations on Live365.com. In 1984, Wayne played B.J. Barton in the sci-fi cult movie Bloodsuckers from Outer Space. Wayne is happily married to the fair Serena (1st Beadseller), and is proud to function as a parental unity to Aaron, Ethan, and Raymond. See Wayne for yoru donkey needs. Hip, hip hooray. God save the king.
John Thomas Brady II (Steward):
John's love of the theatre manifests itself in many ways. He began as an actor and really enjoyed the many character roles he played such as Einstein in Arsenic and Old Lace, Ruckley in One Flew over the Cuckoo's
Nest, Richard the Lion Hearted in Lion in Winter, Sheriff Beebo in Fruitcakes, Deputy File in Rainmaker and Victor in Barefoot in the Park. He has been successful directing plays such as FCT's M*A*S*H and A Streetcar Named Desire and is something of a technical guru, having produced many difficult special effects for shows such as Dracula, Bell, Book & Candle, and Blithe Spirit. John also has a talent for writing plays and his comedy My Money Dearest was produced and directed by him at FCT. His original drama, Fall of the Moon will be produced at FCT next spring. John is also the Executive Producer of Frisco Community Theatre and helps keep the Theatre running smoothly.
Andrea Cespedes (Christina/Understudy for Jackie/Kay):
Andrea is excited to be performing in
Murder on the Nile, her first experience with Frisco Community Theatre. Andrea moved to Frisco last year from New York City, where she lived for eight years. Although always interested in theater, she has not had time to pursue it actively since grade school. She has dallied with an off (very off) Broadway production and appeared in New York health club television ads. Andrea graduated from Princeton University and received a Masters in International Public Policy from Columbia University. For five years, she worked for non-profit organizations dealing with international development and conflict resolution. In 1999, she made a major career change and attended the Institute for Culinary Education in New York. In her spare time, she is also a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. She works now as a private chef and a freelance consultant for organizations such as the United Nations and Harvard University. She is also interested in pursuing freelance writing opportunities, particularly restaurant reviewing and other food-writing. With the support of her wonderful husband, she hopes now to have more time to indulge her passion for acting and performing.
Jeff Macfee (Smith):
Jeff is excited to be playing the part of William Smith (no relation to the Fresh Prince) in this production of
Murder on the Nile. It is his first production since he graduated high school, a time so long ago as to be unmentionable. When not pretending to be other people, Jeff is trying to knock people down on the ice in recreational hockey games throughout the city. Somewhere in there, he has to earn a living, which he does at a local telecommunications company in Richardson. Jeff would like to thank his family for putting up with his various interests and the time they take.
Nicki Hale (Kay):
This former veteran with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders has had a passion for acting and theater since her elementary school years. With 15 years of dance, vocal and acting experience, Nicki has performed in productions such as
Cabaret, You Can't Take it With You, Little Shop of Horrors, and HMS Pinafore, and has expanded her acting passion to the film industry, appearing in NFL music videos,  national television commercials, and the Oliver Stone film Any Given Sunday. Her performances of a lifetime remain the shows designed for the men and women of our military overseas on the USO/DOD tours in Korea, Bosnia, Hungary, Croatia, and Guam.
"Performing  has been the passion in my soul since I can remember, and is the love of my life along with my son, Hunter. To the cast and staff of
Murder on the Nile, thanks for letting me continue with the obsession that drives my life. Thank you so much!"
David Phillips (Canon):
This is David's ninth show with Frisco Community Theatre. He started performing at age six, singing and dancing, and studied classical piano for 10 years. He worked with a small theater group in the early eighties, and started acting again at Frisco Community Theatre in 1998.  He has performed a wide variety of roles, including Renfield in
Dracula, Mr. Akin in Send Me  No Flowers, Mom in My Money Dearest, Klinger in M*A*S*H, and Mr. Witherspoon in Arsenic and Old Lace.  David has also directed and designed the sets for The Grass is Greener and The Philadelphia Story, was Stage Manager for Let's Murder Marsha, is a Board Member of the theater, and serves as Technical Director/Assistant Artistic Director for Murder on the Nile. He is a designer for J.C. Penney and designed the costumes for the shows he has directed. He recently completed his film debut as the Old Camper in Zombie Campout, which will be released soon. David would like to thank all his family and friends for their support and encouragement.
