The 2006 Demo

"First, it’s to say that nobody in the band is really satisfied with the end result, the guitar, bass and drum parts have been recorded in one session, this usually adds grit and groove to the tracks but the mistakes are too audible. On the other hand we had not been playing together by a long period back then, and we are not seeking fucking useless excuses, but if a few rehearsal sessions had been taken beforehand the result would have been surely better… And if there has been a few tranquilasers in studio, well, some guitar licks would sound far better! But the things worked out that way, there was not any time to waste, and also in studio we got only three hours also to record the tunes. Still, I pretty liked the songs, they might be a little too eighties oriented but there are a bunch of good ideas along the errors, either with the strum and with the vocal line, the last are particularly gripping and powerful, I dare to say. Welcome to the target was an old Omega tune, half NWOBHM half punk rock with the solo cut in two upon the Teso’s original, The sorceress was written for another band, then I bring it in, Stefano and Luca helped me to find a right middle session, the first version lacked of it completely. Same again for To live or to survive, another old song, I like the contrast between the slow verses and the fast chorus. Moon of skull is dedicated to E.M. Thomas book “The reindeer moon” a song packed with fast, aggressive riffs, even minimal but effective sometimes, I remember writing music and lyrics in less than a quarter of an hour... Moreover, nothing is to say with the studio job of the man after the consolle, great ability and great patience too. But, maybe the next… "
