| Expectations Come to class on time, with materials, and be prepared to learn. Exercise self-control. Respect the feelings, and property of others. Follow Instructions. Follow all school rules. Be responsible for turning in missed work after excused absences. |
| Procedures All students will use the 7 Habits agenda notebook daily to keep track of class assignments, due dates, and homework assignments for each class. Parents need to initial the agendas weekly. The first activity every day is to copy the POD (Plan of the Day) from the board. THe POD includes the daily lesson/activities and homework assignments. After the warm-up, the students will take part in the daily lesson. We will go to the library at least once each six weeks so students can check out books for the Outside Reading Requirement. After the student gets a book approved, the title, author, and number of pages in the book should be written on teh appropriate form. We will keep track for the entire year! Students will keep their completed compostitions in their writing portfolios which stay in the classroom. The portfolios will be sent home at the end of the year. The majority of the writing will be multi-paragraph papers. There will also be contest entries and some poetry. Keep track of your grades in your agendas! It's important to know where you stand at all times! |
