A member of the Sui Knights, sworn to protect the royal family of Uzim. He is a very loyal person, attaching himself to one he deems worthy and never wavering on his protection of them. Very silent yet observant...tends to frown a lot or look solemn. While he was on a mission to Blue Heaven, to investigate the whereabouts of the outlaw Lothario, that seduced and sullied the princess Emi's reputation, was how he met Vega. He cared quite a bit about the beautiful Emi, so was determined to find her assailant and make him pay heavily in pain. She begged him not to go, and the King refused to support him in his mission. But he went anyway, his strong sense of loyalty and duty forcing him away from his love. After he continued his search of Blue Heaven he learned that a pirate named Vega had killed him and collected the bounty on his head. But just as he was about to search out this Vega character he recieved a distrubing message from home. His younger brother Kaiden (also a Sui Knight) sent him a horrible message...Emi had been killed. Vitt, his love rival, in a fit of madness killed her with the idea that if he couldn't have her then no one should. He was horrified and angry, wanting badly to rip the pathetic guts from Vitt's body. If he hadn't taken an Life Oath, he would have killed himself. Having Emi gone, the reason he joined the Knights, gave him no one to be loyal to anymore. He couldn't deal well with this feeling of no purpose. So he folllowed the example of every depressed man throughout the galaxy, and found the nearest bar in which to drown his sorrows. He sat down next to an aqua haired woman dressed in armor and black goggles (Vega). The barkeep addessed her by name and Kujen quickly faced her, demanding her blood in place of Lothario's. She turned and replied calmly. Explaining the situation that Lothario had taken her twin eight year old sister's virginity, Kujen relented understanding that to be a greater offence than Emi had suffered. Respecting her loyalty to her family despite being a degenerate pirate quickly bonded him to this strange woman. She smiled slightly, a rare thing indeed, and asked for his company as a crewmember. Kujen agreed, having nothing left to live for on Uzim, and interested in the complexity that was Vega. |
