| I used my daughter's dog, Ooah, a blue merle Australian shepherd, as the model here. He really is amazing: for the detail work on the painting, I actually got him to pose for a couple of minutes at a time, in order to get the painting as life-like as possible. |

| Oh, I had fun with the leash!!! I decided to put this in at the last minute as a kind of joke... and it worked! The doorknob is real, but there have been times that people have reached for the leash, not realizing that it is tromp l'oeil! |
