Timeline of Events
September
11 - The day of infamy in the 2nd millennium. 
18 - We at Ryan Junior High School felt that we must contribute to 9/11's remembrance.
20- Mr. Josloff, the art teacher at Ryan came up with the idea for his art students to make a huge "magazine mosaic" mural using only magazines to embrace all the different feeling of September 11th
26- A committee was formed of eight students from class 862 to help develop the project.
September 26 - December 23- The first stage of production was undertaken by the student committee. The job of the committee was to select photo images from newspapers and magazines to form the eight montages. which were next laid out by art teacher, Marc Josloff.

 

January
6 -9  Mr. Josloff laid out the eight montages.
9-15 - Mr. Josloff and his student committee created production kits for 250 students.
16 - Class 7T  began mural #2, "Shock"
20- 8th grade and 9th grade classes began to work on panels 1,3,4,5,6,7. The Disaster, The Rubble, The Recovery, The Grief. The Compassion and The Return Of A Nation's Spirit
January 21- present -  Every student is working to enlarging small reference squares into 9”x 12” cells that fitted like puzzle pieces into their class panels
February
The 6th grade class began work on the "Composite Panel"
April
22 - Class 7T finished panel #2
May
15- Class 9T finished panel #5. Both finished panels are installed in Ryan's festival of the arts.
16- Classes 822 and 824 are close to completion.
