David the Morning before he went to heaven

On Sunday, April 30th our little David went to be with his two sisters, Angel and Misty and his twin brother, Kevin.  It had been a rough few months and the last two weeks we had David's body but in my heart I think he was gone.  On Sunday his heart and lungs stopped at the same time.  His brain stem was so damaged that is was not sending messages to keep his body living.  We are sad he is gone yet know he is in heaven with all of God's love.
On Tuesday, May 2 at 7pm we had a memorial service for David in our home town.  It was not just for the family but for the kids too.  The pastor talked about David's love for the kids and the preschool kids love for David.  He also told of all the loving care from nurses, teachers and family.  The morning before the service a little boy came up and told me, "I'm sorry David went to heaven".
I was really shocked but told him, "That is okay honey...David is happy in heaven.  We just miss him."
At the memorial service we had the song "With Hope" by Stephen Curtis Chapman played.  We also had all the kids and anyone else who wanted to join Krista and the preschool teacher in singing Barney's "I love you" song.  It was so touching hearing everyone in the church singing this.  At the end of the service everyone got a small bottle of bubbles and were asked to go outside and blow bubbles to heaven for David.  The kids were out for along time blowing bubbles and singing Barney songs.  We also had a poster of pictures of David growing up and also showed the quilt that was made for him by many special people.
Wednesday we went to my husbands home town and had a graveside service.  It was our last goodbye.  It really hit us when we had to walk away with three of our children buried side by side.  We held onto Krista and Matthew and prayed to God to let us keep them.

Warning!!!!!
Below are pictures of David
at the funeral home...stop now
if you don't want to see them.
Thank You.

Do not stand at my grave and weep:
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow;
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain'
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there; I did not die.
