We're Taking Off Thursday March 29th for the International Convention in Denver, CO

The meeting was called to order at 1:40 pm.

The minutes were approved.

Treasurer's Report - The Book Exchange has raised $30,069.75 to date and the Acct balance is $3330.66.  Prof. Homweood recapped the recent fund adjustments.

Scholarships - Elijah has information on a scholarship for Italian students or students taking Italian from the National Italian American Foundation.

Service Project - Readers are needed to read at Beethoven School, 25 W. 47th St on Tues. or Wed. from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.   The Blood Drive is scheduled for Wed. 4/18, 12:00 to 5:00 pm.  Volunteers are needed to sign up donors and hang posters.  Due to the shortage of blood in the Chicago area we are reaching outside of the College so ask you co-workers and members of your church. 

Fellowship - Robin and Tiffany are working on an event so use the SGA (Student Government Association) funds.  Tiffany's company is sponsoring "Christmas in April" on Sat. 4/28 at St. John DeLaSalle School on 103rd and King Dr.  See Tiffany to sign up.

New Business - Helen suggested we give a donation from the chapter to sponsor the Aids Ride.  Debra moved we give $150.00, Chandra 2nd and it was approved.  Kevin will get more information so we can volunteer to assist as the riders arrive in Chicago.  Thank You cards were circulated for Pat and Robin for all the hard work they do.  Felicia suggested the chapter attend the Loop Players production of Blithe Spirit on Thurs. 4/5 at 1:50 pm.  The chapter will purchase the tickets and there will be a reception afterward for the cast and crew.  T-Shirts are being delivered on Tues. 3/27.  Everyone that ordered one can check with Prof. Homewood for their totals and all payments are due in by that date.  See Prof. Homewood ASAP to pay your balance for the Convention and to complete your leave forms.

Presidents Remarks - Felicia welcomed everyone to the meeting.  She was glad to see so many new members as well as the old members.  She informed us that the next CPFTA (Chicago Police and Firefighter Training Academy) tutoring session will at Sat. 4/7.

Advisors Remarks - Prof. Chavez is looking forward to the Int'l Convention.  Honors stoles and cords will be purchased while we are in Denver.  Prof. Homewood will be in the PTK office on Fri. 3/23.  He reminded us that volunteers are needed to bring down the yearbooks and arrange the display for the PTK Reunion.

The meeting adjourned at 2:25 pm.
