Well a few weekends ago I went on a trip with sea cadets on a boat called a yag. Well we had a pretty interesting guy for a stoaker, and he told us he knew how to make the boat seem like if was haunted to scare the little junior cadets that were on watch.
So at about 12:30 or 0030 in military time, the watches changed so we ran into the wheel house and dislocated the two throttles. Now that that was done we went to various stations on the boat. In the engine room you could control the movement of the throttles and from the tiller flats you could control the spinning of the helm(wheel). So after about 5 minutes all the little junior cadets come running out shouting about how things are moving on there own.
The guys on top told them about "the captain that died on boat 319 a few years ago." Of course this wasn't true but they belived it and thats all that matters.
Unfortunantly one of the cadets had brought a video camera.
We all finally decide thats getting boring and head for bed, then just as were all settled in one cadet comes screaming down the stairs "WHERES THE OFFICERS, WHERE ARE THE OFFICERS" of course if the officers woke up there would be hell to pay, so John and I just started yesaying "Its a joke, get out, get out." The cadet seemed to freaked out to belive that and after telling him a hundred more times he finally left. |
