Veerle Casteleyn

Birthplace: Vlaanderen, Belgium

Veerle grew up most of her life in Belgium where she has an older brother named Rolf and a younger sister named Yancel. Her native language is Dutch but she is quite fluent in English. Her hobbies are singing, dancing, playing the flute, writing poetry, and playing racketball.

Veerle came over to the United States in 1994 as a foriegn exchange student and fell in love with the country. She attended Bayside High School in Bayside, Florida where she graduated with honors in 1998. After graduation, Veerle went to New York to pursue her dream of acting on the stage. She played Frenchie in Cabaret, Sillabub in CATS, and is currently playing the narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. During her budding stage career, she was also asked to perform the role of Jemima in the CATS Video.

Veerle has been taking some classes at the University of Illinois in Chicago, but is taking a short hiatus to continue her acting career. She now lives in an apartment near the theatre district in New York.
