| Static-X is now working hard on their third album, due out sometime next year. Get the new Static-X comic book that came out on July 24, 2002. The comic comes with a cd and has three different covers to choose from. Pick up the Nascar album "Crank It Up" to hear a cover of the Elvis track "Speedway". Also featuring Staind and Slipknot. Unfortuantely, there will not be and Issue #2 comic book as planned, because the company filed for bankruptcy. They are currently shopping around for a new company to put #2 out. Static-X will be releasing action figures next year to coincide with the release of the new cd. Also, keep an eye out for new merch including football jerseys, new shirts, posters, and more. |

| On June 7, I had the pleasure of going to the Static-X show in Houston, Texas. This was the second time for me to see them and they were amazing. The first time I saw them was on the Family Values Tour, and because they opened, the set was short. I wasn't very familiar with them at the time, so I didn't get into it much. This time around however, I rocked out, jumped around, and banged my head! Their show is always entertaining. Wayne's eccentric way of playing is well worth the money spent. I got my fill of beer and sweat being splashed while near the stage. The highlight was when Wayne screwed up an older song that I wasn't familiar with, and Ken jumped down from his drum set to see who screwed up. He then explained that the cause was the excessive partying with the guys from Pantera the night before. They also got a new thing going. He asked the crowd to switch from "devil horns" to the "fist". His reason was seeing bands that aren't very metal doing the "horns". His example......Nickleback. So, as you can tell, I had an amazing time and can't wait for them to finish their new album so they can start touring. |
