| Alright! |
| It has been a long day indeed and an even longer week. I lost the presidential election I was running for, but there are more important things in life. For those of you in support of me, thank you, I didn't deserve it. Right now my concern is on my Youth Minister, Mark; he has been one of the most influential people in my life. Change. What is change to me? My sister is leaving for college, Mark is moving to Guatemala, I'm 16 now and more responsibilities are put on me. It's hard to compare the change in my life to the change that has happened in Mark's. Mark has just had his first son and is moving to a country where he can barely speak the language. The poverty here is normal in Guatemala, they have nothing like we do. Although, no matter where Mark goes he will definitely make an impact. The theme of my presidential campaign was change. What a difference we could make if we all changed something in our lives for the better. For those that go to LCA, you can start or continue a change in your life even without me as president. I encourage you guys to be leaders in our school. For those of you at Immanuel, God Is With Us. Keep the faith, the changes we are about to face may be brutal, but they are nothing that we can't stand up to. Be the change you need to see in yourselves. -J Carr |
