Emily's birthday was a blast. Emily's brand new cousin Jace made a big splash (for more about Jace see the Pumpkin Patch Page). The other big guest of course was her friend Erik. They've been friends for a few years and he has come to a few of Emily's birthday parties. September (another of Emily's friends) whispered to me "I think Erik has a crush on Emily". I told her it's not a secret, neither is the fact that Emily is sweet on Erik. All the rest of the girls just giggled. Being the only boy at the party sometimes he got over whelmed. But every now an then Emily and Erick would sit on the porch and just whisper to each other. They all played tag, rode bikes or scooters and played with some super balls.
After play time, we came in for lunch, cake and opening presents. Emily's best friend Sarah (the girl in the pink shorts and white shirt) stayed the night. The watched TV and snacked. We let them "camp out" in the living room. The funny thing that happened at the end was when they fell asleep, Sarah rolled on top of Maria. All in all, a good time was held by everyone.
