Mungo - race dog extraordinaire - after retiring from Coeur D'Alene Race Track where he ran around in circles for five years (the maximum allowed) came out of retirement and went into public service. Mungo became a certified Animal Assisted Therapy dog with the Create-A-Smile Team. He has visited the State Hospital, abused childrens' shelters and womens' shelters, etc. and helped cheer up the residents. He (and the Create-A-Smile Team) have visited a home for autistic children. Mungo has gone to the Special Olympics, Ronald McDonald House, hospitals etc. He loves his new job. His particular favorite is an assisted living home where he likes to visit at lunch or snack time and assist some of the residents with their food. He wears a red vest with "Therapy Dog" on it. We continue to cherish him.
