Shanghai

Shanghai is the most interesting city in China, just like New York in US, Paris in France, Milan in Italy, and Berlin in Germany. The reason is Shanghai is where old-world charm meets new-world sparkle, and it's buzzing with energy. Take a stroll along leafy avenues, plunge into bustling side streets, and explore the culture [Dam2006]. It has the world-class restaurants, slick bars and heavenly hotels. You can definitely enjoy your life there. However, it is not the desert of culture. You can find the old Chinese style everywhere, even in the bars, streets and museums. Now lets take a pre-visit to ten of the most important places in Shanghai.

Shanghai Xintiandi always is the first place for tourists. No matter how old are you, Xintiandi will fulfill your desire of the great night in Shanghai. It is an urban tourist attraction imbued with the city's historical and cultural legacies. At this 30,000 square meters area, Xintiandi's Shikumen attraction was created by converting residential blocks into a multifunctional dining, retail and entertainment center flowing with restaurants, boutiques, cafes and bars of an international standard.[MICE] In this place, you will enjoy the most fashion music in the bar which settled in a old style Chinese house. You may feel like go back to the movie Shanghai Tan. So Xintiandi is called "yesterday meets tomorrow" and east meets west. It is definitely the best place to learn the historical culture and modern life of Shanghai.

As Shanghais mother river, Huangpu River embraces the cluster of universal buildings as well as the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone. There may be different routes for the night cruise; however, the following scenic spots are included on the list such as Nanpu Bridge, Yangpu Bridge, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and Huangpu Park. The spectacular scenery along the shores and the gorgeous buildings in particular are all the more charming. The river cruise not only entertains the people with Shanghais beautiful night view but also enables the tourists to experience the overlapped history and today of Shanghai.

The route of Shanghai Maglev Train begins from Longyang Road Metro Station of No.2 Metro Line in the west and reaches Pudong Airport in the east, being 29.863 km long. As the first commercial line in the world developed by China in cooperation with Germany, it may operate at several hundred km per hour. Take the Maglev Train and you will have the wonderful experience brought by this land aircraft.
