Cooking |
Cooking
is an important and profitable skill. You can cook a range of things from
seafood to pies to simple meat.
|
|
| The
easiest food to cook is chicken meat. You can take their meat and cook
it directly on a fire or on a range.
1. Go north
of Lumbridge to the farms. There are lots of chickens running around
there.
2. You will
have to point at a chicken and click it. This way you will attempt to
attack the chicken.
3. After
killing the chicken, you will be left standing on meat and a pile of
bones. Click on the meat and bones to take them.
4. Then,
open your inventory and click on the bones to bury them. This gives
you prayer experience. If you do not want prayer experience, drop the
bones and don't pick them up again.
5. Now
you will have meat that is ready to be cooked. Cooking meat is easy.
You can either use a fire to cook it, or you can use a range. You can
find a fire nearby or you can make one yourself. To make one, you will
need a Woodcutters Axe (The one you start with) and Tinderbox. Cut down
a tree, drop the logs, click the Tinderbox in your inventory and then
click the logs on the ground. This will either start a fire or tell
you "You have failed to light the logs". Keep doing this until
the fire is made.
6. To cook
the meat, you will have to go to your inventory and click the meat.
Then, click on the fire to start cooking. You may either get your meat
nicely cooked or it may accidentally get burnt.
To eat the
meat when you are low on health, you will have to go to your inventory
and click on your meat. |
| Uncookable
Foods |
| There
are some food items you don't need to cook to eat. You can eat cabbage,
bananas, chocolate bars, cheese, tomatoes, and kebabs without the need to
cook yourself. |
| Stew |
To
cook stew, you will need to have at least a Cooking level of 25.
1. You will
have to obtain a bowl. Then, you will need to fill the bowl will water
at a sink or fountain. Bowl's can be made using crafting (see crafting
guide for more info) or obtained in the Cooking Guild.
2. Get a
potato, which is available in Lumbridge farms, and a piece of cooked
meat.
3. Use the
potato and cooked meat with the bowl full of water to mix everything
together. A fountain or sink will do the trick. Finally, cook the bowl
on a stove.
Stew heals
a total of 9 hit points. Useful for win your hits level is less then 30. |
| Curry |
Curry
is simply spiced stew. Curry requires level 60 cooking to make and you
must be a member. After you have successfully made a bowl of stew (see
above), use the Spice with the Bowl of Stew.
Spice is available
at a market stall in Ardougne.
|
| Wine |
Wine
is very easy and straightforward to mix. All you need is a jug full of
water, grapes, and level 35 cooking. The jug and grapes can be found in
the Cook's Guild southwest of Varrock city.
To mix wine,
use the grapes with the water-filled jug. There is a chance that your
wine can go bad when you mix the grapes.
Wine heals
health, but also has a negative affect on your attack level. So only use
Wine as a last resort or just for the sake of gaining Cooking experience.

| Pie |
Summery
of making pie...
1. Get pot,
jug of water, pie dish, and filling (red-berries, meat, apple)
2. Turn wheat into flour at a windmill.
3. Use pot of flour with jug of water to get dough.
4. Use dough with pie dish to get pie shell.
5. Use filling with pie shell to get uncooked pie.
6. Use uncooked pie with stove to cook it.
Pies are a
little more advanced than simple cooking and require more ingredients
to cook. You will have to be at least level 10 cooking to make pies.
1. You will
have to get a pot, a jug, and a pie dish.
2. You will
have to find a fountain or sink to fill your jug. Open your inventory,
and then click on your jug. Then, use the jug with the fountain or sink.
3. Next,
you will have to get flour. To get flour you will have to pick wheat
from a field. The next step is to go inside a windmill to turn wheat
into flour. The windmill is made up of three stories. You will have
to climb up to the top floor using the ladders. Then, when you get to
the top, you need to put your wheat in the hopper. Next, you will have
to click on the hopper again to operate it. Then the grain will slide
down to the bottom level while turning into flour. When you reach the
bottom floor, click your pot and then click the flour. Now, you will
have a pot full of flour.
4. To make
dough you will have to click the water you have in your inventory and
then click the flour, which is also in your inventory. This way, you
are mixing them together to make dough. Now, you have a choice of making
bread dough, pastry dough or pizza base. First try making bread dough.
You can cook bread dough directly on a range. If you wanted to make
pies, you would have selected pastry dough when mixing water with flour.
5. Then,
you will have to put your pastry dough in a pie dish. This way, you
will have a pie shell. You can now pick red berries and use them with
your Pie shell.
6. The last
step now is to cook the pie on a range.
