Cwen's Story
Cwen was on her way home from the forest faery gathering. She lived in the eastern part of the forest. Home to the woodland fairies, mushroom fairies, and woodland spiral fairies. Caelyn was the eldest seer and Chailyn was the queen. Cwen had married Xerxes, Chailyns second born son. Xerxes had to stay behind at the gathering to calm the fairies with his father. Caelyn had just announced that Arwen the snowflake seer and new princess of the North forest had predicted that the humans where coming into the forest for the healing properties of the water spring and the healing properties of the plants and mushrooms. Caelyn could no longer see the future of the forest like she used to. So she had sent the pink seers stone with Aelwen to Arienne the eldest and most powerful seer. She was in the North forest and Arwens great grandmother. She thought Chailyn would have sent a royal escort with Aelwen but no. Cwen continued flying along the path to her home in the palace. She stopped to rest and mull over what had just happened. A short tree stump (to us it would be a twig) was her resting spot. She pulled herself up and sat down. She flexed her green wings and settled down like a princess should. Caelyn had predicted that the humans would come but Arwen had a much more detailed vision. Arwen had predicted that the humans would be coming to destroy the water spring and the flowers to cure themselves. The spring was in the center of the forest. It connected out to the ocean where the mermaids roamed and lived. The royal families lived in the spring. One on each side of the spring. If the spring was tapped and drained the mermaids and mermen would loose their homes and their way of life. Cwen was deep in thought when the butterflies came and drew her attention away from the meeting. One butterfly in particular landed on her hand and looked up at her. Purple in color with clear wings like hers she reached out to pet it. The butterfly relaxed its wings and accepted Cwens kindness and gentleness. The other butterflies landed around her and helped her to feel at home in her forest that was now in chaos.
