| This page is dedicated to my step-mother Susan Woomer who recently wrote me a beautiful poem to place on this page. I'm hoping to recieve many more submissions from her now that I know how much of a talented artist she is. Thank you Sue for the wonderful poem. It brought tears to my eyes. I love you! |

| IF ONLY These words fall softly on this page, like snowflakes from the sky. Wisdom and knowledge can be hard as ice, When thrown before your eyes! If only I could tell you, If only there was time. If only you would listen, To the knowledge that is mine. If only I could find a way, to show you How and why, If only you could look inside, and see with your own eyes! There was a time when I like you, thought love was so sublime. All that mattered was this love, until the end of time. If only I could share with you, The things that I have seen, If only you could go with me, To the places I have been. If only I could take you, to the place of "what might be" If only you would walk with me, and look at what I see. Time moves itself in circles, We follow around inside. Over and over we make our mistakes, like a bad rollarcoaster ride. If only I could get you off, long enough for you to see, If only you would stop long enough, to view how life should be. If only I could find a way, to change your point of sight, If only you would try it, you would begin to see the light. Before I go I want to say, that although I have insight, I cannot live your life for you, but help a little, I might. If only I could say all the things that would make a difference for you, If only you would listen without telling me I have no clue. If I could save you a day of pain, I would share with you my secrets. If you would hear without refrain, you could avoid a lot of regrets. Knowledge and wisdom come at a price, one that is hard to pay, These words are all done falling, this is all I have left to say! If only I could hug you and tell you I love you, If only you would love yourself, and see you as I do. If I could give you a way to see, all that I have seen and know, If you would look and learn from this, what happiness you would know! Written By Susan Woomer This poem is dedicated to Missy, Who I am but a stepmother to. I wish you all the best in the years ahead of you. God keep you safe in his hands always! |
