| Shattered Pieces I will always remember you. The day you passed away Leaving shattered pieces lying Lying on the floor beside me As the tears from my eyes fell You wiped them away But no, you are gone Gone? No, not gone you are Still in my heart No, you are still here But above waiting Waiting for me As I slowly walk away from you The shattered pieces They blow away Written by Melissa Woomer I wrote this poem for my grandmother the day I found out she died. |
