No one will forget the events of September 11, 2001. I know I won't. I watched in horror as the plane hit the WTC, the Pentagon burning, The two WTC's crumble, and the aftermath of the crash in Pennsylvania. I'm still watching televison. I'm seeing all the families in tears looking for their missing family members and friends. It's all so awful and brings tears to my eyes constantly. Here is a timeline of the terrible events that happened September 11, 2001.

Tuesday, September 11, 2001

8:48 a.m.

American Airlines Flight 11, from Boston, crashed into the World Trade Center North Tower.
  
9:06 a.m.

United Airlines Flight 175, from Boston, crashed into the World Trade Center South Tower.
  
9:43 a.m.

American Airlines Flight 77, from Washington Dulles International Airport, crashed into the Pentagon.
  
10:05 a.m.

The World Trade Center South Tower collapses.

10:10 a.m.

United Airlines Flight 93, from Newark crashed in a field about 80 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. At the same time, a portion of the Pentagon collapses.

  
10:28 a.m.

The World Trade Center North Tower collapses.

  5:20 p.m.

World Trade Center Building 7 collapses.
   
Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001:
   
12:45 p.m.

Reports come out that the FBI has taken several suspects or witnesses into custody in Boston and Florida.
    
4 p.m.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization, or NATO, makes it possible to invoke Article Five, an agreement between the countries that an attack on one is an attack on all.
    
5:20 p.m.

One Liberty Plaza has a partial collapse.
   
Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001:
    
1 p.m.

Secretary of State Colin Powell says that Osama bin Laden is a suspect in Tuesday�s attacks.
   
4:20 p.m.

Flight data recorder is recovered from United Airlines Flight 93, which crashed in rural Pennsylvania. Officials still looking for cockpit voice recorder.

3:40 a.m.


Flight data and voice recorders for American Airlines Flight 77 found in the Pentagon.

   
8 a.m.

The Afghanistan Taliban government warns they will have revenge if attacked by the United States.

   10:54 a.m.

The Senate votes 98-0 to authorize use of armed forces against terrorists.
 
 
2:22 p.m.

President Bush signs order authorizing the Pentagon to call up 50,000 military reservists.

  
2:29 p.m.

Senate and House unanimously authorize $40 billion to be spent on recovery and retaliation
  

3:35 p.m.

President Bush arrives in New York to survey the scene of the World Trade Center collapse.

    8: 25 p.m.

Pennsylvania investigators find cockpit voice recorder from United Airlines Flight 93.

President Bush tells American troops to �get ready� for a long war; names bin Laden and his organization as the �prime suspect.�
   
Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001

    - Vice President Dick Cheney tells America to get ready for a �dirty� war.
  
Monday, Sept. 17, 2001

    - Afghanistan�s Taliban militia tells Pakistani officials that they will not hand over bin Laden to America. Afghan troops move to the Pakistan border.
  
- New York Stock Exchange reopens.
 
  - Major League Baseball resumes play.
