Budget Message 2005

Proposed Municipal Annex in Tagalog and Kapampangan Regions
For the year 2005 we will fast track the infrastructure projects needed to provide for more efficient delivery of services by the municipal government and to provide better working places for our public servants.

The main offices of the municipal government must be improved, expanded and sufficiently equipped. Extension offices in the Tagalog Region and Kapampangan Region must be built and operationalized. This is to accommodate future work loads attuned to our objectives in the areas of legislation, revenue generation and the implementation of key developmental projects for peace and order, agriculture, health, eco-tourism and education.
Proposed Renovation of the Municipal Building

At the same time we will start building or improving specific facilities for agriculture, health, education, eco-tourism and recreation on a priority basis.

Preparing municipal employees for computerization.
We have to prepare for the eventual computerization of the administrative and service delivery systems of the municipal government. Aside from the acquisition of needed and appropriate hardware and technology, we have to train our personnel to prepare them for this eventuality.

In line with my objective of supporting the barangays to become more independently strong and effective, we have to provide for a workable financing arrangement to allow the acquisition of much needed equipment that they can use for various jobs for infrastructure, mobilization and hauling.

We can do all the above only if we will be very serious in keeping other expenses at a minimum especially those we can do without at the moment. Only when we succeed in this can we assertively provide for more benefits for our deserving public servants.

Budget 2005 will be an instrument for strengthening the trust and confidence of the people of Candaba in their government.
