Rick: Evie, I loved you the minute I saw you.
Evie: Oh�Rick, I wanted to kiss you that night in Hamunaptra, but I never got the chance. So I would now like to kiss you the way I wanted to that night.
Rick laughs and says: All I ended up kissing was thin air when you collapsed that beautiful head of yours in my lap.
Evie: I loved you even when you were still in that stinky prison.
Rick: I surprised you didn�t I when I gave you that kiss�
Evie: I truly was quite surprised�
Jonathan: Sorry to butt in, you two love birds, but somehow I remember hearing Evie say that you were a bloody good-for-nothing that couldn�t be trusted�
Rick: It doesn�t matter�she�s mine�
(Rick and Evie kiss)
Jonathan: Oh please�
Back in Cairo�Fort Brydon:
Evie: I still can�t understand why you dropped the book of Amun Re in that swampy pool of souls and muck.
Jonathan: I slipped, what was I supposed to do!?!
Evie: Well!!!
Rick: Alrighty lets just forgive each other and all will be fine.
Jonathan: That�s easy for you to say.
(Rick kisses Evie)
Evie: You know I�ll always be your baby sister� No need to worry.
Jonathan: I know� old mum�(giggles)
Rick and Evie�s bedroom:
Rick: Evie, come here!
Evie: What is it?
Rick: I think my dirty little friend gave us a little surprise.
(Evie runs into the room and stares at the gold)
Evie: Oh my�
Rick: I think Beni had been placing all these gold trinkets on the back of our camel. That little weasel.
Evie: He deserved what he got. That�s for sure.
(Jonathan enters room)
Jonathan: Where did this come from!
Rick: My little buddy Beni.
Evie: He left us many ancient artifacts from the treasure chamber inside of Hamunaptra. When we were in the room with Imhotep and you (points to Rick) were fighting those horrid mummies and saving me, Beni must have been packing up himself to high-tail it out of there. It looks to me like he betrayed Imhotep as well. He was no longer �immune.�
Rick: That sounds like my little buddy Beni.
Jonathan: What are we going to do with all of this gold!
Rick: Sell it.
Evie: Nooo! You can�t do that! It belongs in a museum!
Rick: And what would we get out of that!
Evie: So what� It can�t just be sold to anyone!
Rick: Whoever offers a good price gets it.
Evie: Well at least the museum might see its worth.
Rick: All right fine, but we will keep some of it.
Jonathan: Can I have this piece!
(he holds up some kind of gold scepter with a small figuirine on top)
Rick: Take it.
Evie: Ohh�You two are impossible!!!
Later in Evie and Rick�s bedroom:
Evie: You know we ought to catalog these treasures�
Rick: Don�t worry your sweet little mind over it�we�ll figure it out as we need to.
Evie: I know, but I just thought�.
Rick: My little girl doesn�t need to be worring any longer�
(Rick holds Evie in his arms)
Evie: I know�
Rick: I will always love you.
Evie: I will too�its not everyday you know, that one saves one from a 3000 year old, walking, talking corpse!
Rick: You�re my favorite treasure of all�you remember I told you that I knew my treasure�well you are my number one treasure� I knew that back at that dirty prison�I loved you the second I layed eyes on you�
Evie: That�s so sweet! I love you so much�
Rick: I love you too�
(Rick kisses Evie)
Rick: We should be together forever�
Evie: Yes!
(more kissing)
Later in Jonathan�s quarters:
(Rick and Evie walk in, Jonathan is looking at his treasure)
Jonathan: What�s my baby sister been up to, heh?
Evie: Oh�not much�
Rick: We�re getting married.
(Jonathan stumbles and falls off chair)
Jonathan: Wha�wha�wha�
Evie: We�re getting married.
Jonathan: My baby sister is getting married� when?
Rick: As soon as possible.
Jonathan: What am I? Where am I supposed to go� You won�t want me around on your honeymoon. That�s for sure.
Evie: It�s ok� you can come with us�
Rick: We would be happy for you to come and we�d enjoy your company�
(Rick and Evie start kissing)
After wedding�on Honeymoon in Egypt, down the Nile�Rick and Evie�s quarters:
(Rick and Evie are kissing)
Rick: I love you Evie�
Evie: Me too�just think that awhile ago I was just a frustrated librarian that never did anything right, and now I have you�
Rick: Just think awhile ago, I was ulmost hung�
Evie: Oh�I love you�
(Rick and Evie kiss)
Jonathan starts talking to some men in the bar:
Jonathan: �.You know my sister just got married�
Reynolds: Really�
Corey: He�he�he�
Jonathan: What if I was to tell you that I�ve been to Hamunaptra�
Davis: Yeh right�and I�ve been to the moon�
Jonathan: I have though!!!
Rodgers: How do we know that you are saying the truth�
Reynolds: really�
Jonathan: Because I can tell you exactly where it is!
Davis: Where is it then�
Jonathan: I can only tell you if you pay my liquor bill for the length of this trip�
Reynolds: Yeh right�he�s just pushing our buttons�
Jonathan: Really!!! There is three of us that have been there!!!
Rodgers: Where are they then?
(Rick enters room)
Jonathan: Here is another one right here�
Rick: Hello gentlemen�
Reynolds: So�we�ve heard you�ve been to the city of the dead, heh?
Rick: Who said that?
(All three point to Jonathan)
Rick: Jonathan, remember what happened last time you started talking�
Jonathan: Oh�yeh�right�
Rick: I will advise you to not go by the way�
Davis: Do I look scared�you�ve never been there have ya?
Rick: I have�
Corey: Then if you have, you should be able to tell us�
Rick: Lets just put it this way, my whole damn garrison believed in this so much that without orders they marched � way across Libya and into Egypt to find that city. And when we got there all we found was sand and blood. On my second time there, we woke up a 3000 year old, walking, talking corpse that devoured four Americans, that once stood in your exact place, and ulmost sacrificed my wife so he could raise his beloved Anuksunamun from the dead. It took a lot of time and pain to get rid of this creature, also known as Imhotep. If you feel like being devoured go ahead. I don�t advise you to try though�
Jonathan: Go O�Connell!!!
Rodgers: So, O�Connell, you really believe what you just said?
Rick: It�s exactly what happened. Good Bye Gentlemen.
(Rick crunches Jonathan�s shoulder and leaves the room)
Back in Rick and Evie�s quarters:
Rick: Evie, we�ve got some problems�Your brother just interested some more Americans into finding Hamunaptra.
Evie: Jonathan!!! Ugh!!!
Rick: It looks like we might be going back.
Evie: Oh no�I am not about to be sacrificed�
Rick: And I do not plan to go if I can help it.
(Jonathan enters the room)
Evie: Jonathan!!!
Jonathan: I think I made a little mistake�
Rick: I say you did.
Jonathan: I didn�t mean to�
Rick: Lets just try to get off this boat and go somewhere before your new friends decide that they want togo.
Evie: As long as you don�t throw me off the side of the boat again, I am fine�
Rick: I have a feeling that Ardeth might be following the boat� I saw some figures on the bank of the Nile last night.
Evie: Get him to get us off then!
Jonathan: Another boat ride ruined!!!
On the Medjai rowboat leaving the boat:
Ardeth Bey: So what have you done now?
Rick: Jonathan started giving too much information to these Americans and now they are interested in Hamunaptra.
Ardeth Bey: You must promise me never to do this again, for if you do, we the Medjai, will be forced to carry out farther punishments. We can not allow Imhotep to ressurect himself or Anuksunamun, for if they do, the world will be in more peril than ever before.
(The Americans see the rowboat and call out to them)
Corey: Hey look its that drunkard, Jonathan and that O�Connell fellow. They are with that girl that they were talking about and some one else, I can�t figure out who.
Davis: Hey!!! Where are you going!!!
(Rick, Evie, Jonathan and Ardeth look up, they see the Americans yelling at them)
Rick: Oh�no�not these guys again.
Ardeth Bey: We have failed�you must go now�go to Hamunaptra, but never read either of the books� If somehow Imhotep returns, you may read the book of Amun Re�
Evie: Jonathan!!! I can�t believe that you dropped that book!!!
Ardeth Bey: If you don�t have the book, you must find other means to destroy him�please don�t wake him up. To help you, I have sent for 100 of my finest, and they will be watching you very carefully. If those Americans get to close, they may be killed.
(They row back to the boat)
Back on the boat:
Reynolds: So you were trying to go back on your offer�heh?
Rick: No I was just trying to cover after Jonathan told you too much.
Rodgers: So are you taking us or what?
Rick: Alright we�ll take ya.
Ardeth Bey: Only one small detail, you must never read from a certain black book. If you do, you may have killed us all.
Rick: Lighten up�we got him last time�
Ardeth Bey: He will be much more powerful this time�He knows your strengths and weakness� now�Do not underestimate the power of Imhotep. He will complete himself most likely with you three Americans, I would not be surprised if you didn�t make it out alive.
Corey: We ain�t scared none�are we?
Davis/Reynolds/Rodgers: Nah�
Ardeth Bey: Be careful�be careful�as a precaution, (he starts getting something out of his robes, he brings out the white cat that had earlier scared away Imhotep) here is Ankh-Bast. He will protect you in the early stages of Imhoteps regeneration. He will no longer be useful though when Imhotep is fully regenerated. It is your mission to find other means of killing the creature.
Rick: Hopefully we won�t need the kitty, because we won�t be trying to bring him back to life. Huh, Evie?
Evie: Oh�com�on�I didn�t mean to bring anyone back from the dead when we did that last time!
(Rick and Evie kiss)
Jonathan: Oh�give me a break�let me guess�now you are all going to blame me for this!!!
Rodgers: Com�on boys� we can go there get some treasure and be home in a week.
Rick: I hope so�because we are about to be shown the way�
(the sun rises and the Hamunaptra mirage starts to form, the city of the dead appears out of no where)
Rick: Here we go again�
Hamunaptra:
(Evie and Rick lead the way through the passage ways towards the treasure chamber, they enter the chamber, Evie gasps, a mummy lies in the middle of the floor with a grotesque screaming face that resembles someone she once knew)
Rick: Well here�s my buddy Beni
(he looks at the red fez and the black jumper that Beni is wearing)
Evie: What do you suppose got him�
Rick: Scarabs!!!
(they start running as a hoard of scarabs start coming out of the floor, they quickly gobble a few Medjai and chase the explorers through the passage ways�they stop as they reach a flight of stairs�it is the room that Anuksunamun was ulmost ressurected in�The soldier mummies are still standing ready for orders�Davis takes a good long look at them�the explorers continue to run through trying to get away from the scarabs�Suddenly the scarabs halt and start running the opposite way�Rick is rather confused, Evie looks down and realizes that the mummy of Imhotep is bobbing close to the surface of the ghastly soul muck. Reynolds and Corey jump back�)
Evie: Oh my god�It�s him�
(Rick pulls out his guns and is ready to shoot)
Rick: Lets get rid of him�lets put him where nobody will ever find him.
Evie: Maybe we should put him back in his sarcophagus and lock him up with the key� Then we could get rid of it�
Ardeth Bey: That would not work� He would be even easier to find�
(Jonathan stares in disbelief)
Reynolds: What is this anyway�I�m lost here!
Ardeth Bey: It�s the creature�the one that is called Imhotep�
Davis: What the big deal with him�
Evie: He was a high priest of Osiris that commited a crime that he was punished for and he suffered the Homdai, the worst of all Egyptian curses, one so feared that it never before had been used�
Jonathan: He fell in love with Anuksunamun, the pharaoh�s mistress�
Ardeth Bey: There is something that I never told you, he and Anuksunamun killed Pharaoh Seti I.
Rick: Ok�he was worse than I thought.
Corey: Why isn�t he in some sarcophagus or something, why is he just floating in that muck�
Rick: When I defeated him the last time we were here, he was stabbed and then he stepped back into the muck where he went back to his original condition, the way he looked before he took Burns, that Egyptologist, Henderson and Daniels.
Evie: It�s all true�that�s why we didn�t want to come back�he can become a walking, talking corpse that stops at nothing to resurrect his beloved Anuksunamun.
Rick: There is one word for him, �evil.�
Corey: I�d say so�
Rodgers: Lets just get the damn treasure and leave this place!!!
The treasure chamber:
(Rick and Ardeth Bey take the mummified corpses of Beni and the unlucky Medjai warriors, and dispose of them. Evie bends over and picks up a large black object. It is the book of the dead.)
Evie: O�Connell!!! I found the book of the dead!!!
Rick: Evelyn, get rid of it now!!! Don�t dare open it!!!
(Rick takes book from her and throws it across the room onto another pile of treasure.)
Rick: Leave it!!!
Jonathan: Hey Evie! Look what I found!
(He is holding a small trinket in his hand)
Jonathan: I found my puzzle box, the key! The one that I�
Rick: �stole from me�give me that!
(Rick grabs key)
Jonathan: hey, that�s mine!
Rick: Not now it isn�t!
Evie: O�Connell just let him have it� If he doesn�t try to unlock anything with it, it can do no harm�
Rick: I�m not taking any chances.
(Rick puts it in his pocket)
Evie�s adventure:
(As it got dark, Evie went back down to the treasure chamber, where Rick had thrown the book. She found the book and quickly ran back up to the camp. She then �barrowed� the puzzle box out of Rick�s pocket. She opens the book and and starts to read silently. She finds a symbol that she has some difficulty on. She suddenly figures it out and accidently says it out loud. Rick wakes up real quickly to find Evie with the book of the dead in her lap open.)
Rick: Hey what are you doing!?!
(reaches in pocket to see if the puzzle box key is still there, it is missing)
Evie: Just reading silently�
Rick: You just said something out loud, I heard you!!!
Evie: One word can�t bring him back from the dead!
Rick: And no harm ever came from reading a book, girl, that�s what brought our buddy back to life!
(It is too late, Imhotep starts to stir. He is hungry and can sense that it is his old friends that have brought him back to life again�at the same time, Reynolds is wondering away from camp (yeh he has glasses and bad eye sight), he goes across the way from the camp, because he had dropped his glasses somewhere (A Medjai guy had earlier stepped on them) suddenly a hand comes out of the ground and grabs his foot. Reynolds is pulled down into the sand where he comes face to face with the undead. Imhotep quickly takes his eyes and tongue. Rick hears Reynolds scream, and rushes down with Evie. They find Imhotep about to get the rest of Reynolds when Rick and Evie burst in. Imhotep stares at Rick.)
Imhotep: You!!!
(Rick gives Imhotep an ugly face. Jonathan, Ardeth and a few other Medjai run into the room.)
Evie: Do something!!!
Rick: I�m thinking!!! I�m thinking!!!
(Rick pulls out his guns and starts shooting, so to destract Imhotep, Ardeth does the same�Imhotep seems to barely notice. He grabs Rick and throws him ten feet across the room. Rick, Evie, Ardeth carrying Reynolds, Jonathan and the few Medjai, run out of the room�Imhotep goes off on his own and finds Beni. He says a few spells and Beni starts to stir. Beni suddenly becomes whole. The scarab process is reversed. Beni is Imhotep�s slave. Beni is ready to serve his master.)
Fort Brydon�Reynolds quarters:
(Beni brings Imhotep to Fort Brydon. Rick, Evie, Jonathan, Reynolds, Rodgers, Corey, Davis, Ardeth and the Medjai are already there.)
Rick: I thought you said you didn't believe that he would be brought back to life again! Shoo!
(says shoo to the cat)
Evie: Well, having another encounter with a 3,000 year old walking, talking corpse does tend to convert one.
Rick: Forget it! We're out the door. Down the hall and we're gone!
Evie: Oh no we are not
Rick: Oh yes we are!
Evie: Oh no we are not. We woke him up and we are going to stop him.
Rick: We? What we? We didn't read that book. I told you not to play around with that thing!! Did I tell you not to play around with that thing?!
Evie: Yes, then, me, me, me, me, I, I, I, I woke him up and I intend to stop him
Rick: Yeah how?!
Rick: No mortal weapons can kill this guy!
Evie: Then we are just going to have to find some immortal ones.
Rick: There goes that we again.
Evie: Will you listen to me. We have to do something...
Rick: OUCH!
(Evie slams luggage case on Rick's fingers)
Evie: Once this creature has been reborn, his curse is going to spread until the whole of the earth is destroyed.
Rick: Yeah! Is that my problem?!
Evie: It's everybody's problem!
Rick: You can either tag along with me or stay here and try and save the world...What's it gonna be?!
Evie: I'm staying
Rick: Fine!
Evie: Fine!
Rick: Fine!
Evie: Fine!
Rick: Fine!
Reynolds� quarters:
Beni: Prince Imhotep thanks you for your hospitality.
And for you eyes, . . . and for your tongue.
But, I am afraid more is needed.
(Imhotep devours Reynolds. Reynolds screams. This attracts Rick�s attention. Rick runs up and sees Reynolds in mummy form. He then sees a fully regenerated Beni running out of the door. He is very surprised. He then looks forward and sees Imhotep regenerating on the other side of the room. The rest of the group come to see what happened. They are crowded around the door. Imhotep throws Rick across the room�Meanwhile, Ankh-Bast, the white cat, is on the piano. Imhotep looks over his shoulder, shrieks and sand storms out of the room.)
Munchie time in Cairo:
(Rodgers gets scared and runs out on to the streets of Cairo. Imhotep devours him too. Cairo is now under the plagues. The people are zombies.)
IMHOTEP! IMHOTEP! IMHOTEP! IMHOTEP! IMHOTEP! IMHOTEP! IMHOTEP!
The End of the Beginning:
(The rest of the Americans are very scared. Corey is scared out of his wits. He decides to stay in his quarters until Evie and Rick get rid of the creature. He sits and waits. He finally goes to shut his window because it is starting to get chilly and he decides to go get himself some bourbon. He turns and then a huge blast of sand knocks him off his feet and he is the mummy�s next victim. Later a very simular thing happens to Davis, though it was while he was walking in a cooridor in the halls. He lays dehydrated in the middle of the floor. Rick and Evie, knowing that they wouldn�t be able to save the Americans, were not surprised at what had happened. They too knew that Imhotep would soon make his grand entrance.)
Evie: How long do you think he�s been whole?
Rick: I have no idea, but I know this, we are again in very serious trouble.
Jonathan: Why don�t we just go back to Hamunaptra and go find the gold book.
Evie: Again, my point, you shouldn�t have been so careless. That goo turns flesh to mummified corpses! We never will be able to get it!
Rick: If I know correctly, he�ll probably use Beni to retrieve the book for him. He won�t take any chances with us this time.
Jonathan: He�s right, besides how do you know that they aren�t already back at Hamunaptra.
Rick: He doesn�t have his human sacrifice yet though�
(Rick looks at Evie lovingly and gives her a small kiss and hugs her close)
Jonathan: Exactly, he wants us to follow him!
Evie: And then we will walk right into the trap! I never though of it that way.
Rick: If we never go back, he wont get you.
Evie: He will come after us if we wait too long.
Jonathan: Very true.
Rick: Well, we can call upon Ardeth Bay.
Evie: Good, we need him and we need you to do some distracting.
Rick: Fine, I guess I wont mind if I get tossed across the room again.
Evie: Oh, O�Connell, you know I love you, just do that a few more times! It worked last time.
Rick: Yeah and the last time you almost got us killed!
Evie: Ohhh!!!
Rick: I still love you though! Without you, I wouldn�t have made it past the prison.
Evie: Exactly! So you can do one more thing for me.
(Rick gives her a big kiss and hug)
Jonathan: Oh�please!!!
Back at Hamunaptra:
Ardeth Bay: We must be careful, he knows we have come.
Rick: We know, we know.
Evie: Rick, I love you, do stay alive.
Rick: Evelyn, you know I would do anything to save you.
(Rick hugs Evie and gives her a kiss)
Jonathan: Just go in there and defeat the guy would ya! Stop the mushy stuff!
Rick: Jonathan, please stop that, I love your sister and your sister loves me�Isn�t that right???
Evie: Yes, Jonathan.
Jonathan: Oh, please�We have a job to do�
Rick: If I remember right, your slow reading ulmost killed me, please tell me you did some studying.
Evie: He never studies!
Jonathan: Oh, fine, I don�t but�
(they all heard a big sound from below, it sounds like a whimper, Imhotep has gotten Beni to get him the book. Beni now lies in the goo like a corpse. Rick, Evie, Jonathan and Ardeth rush down to the room of death and evil. Imhotep�s strong voice is heard through the halls saying something to the effect of:)
Imhotep: aba sen artu sen her-a�sekheper nef sekhu nef�oetet khet er ek�au nem-na! Au nem-na! Au nem-na!!!
(Imhotep see�s Rick as he runs down the stairs. Imhotep says an evil phrase)
Imhotep: Vooku ra ekh.
(A moan is heard, and more mummy priests start to come out of walls that they hadn�t even come out of last time! The walls were coming alive, the stirred with excitement! The glory that Imhotep wanted was almost complete! Rick knew he must do something, but what! He did not know, he knew only that he must protect Evie, he must!)
Imhotep: Tekh-kha-meh!!!
Rick: Noooo!!!
(Rick heard as the mummy priests came forward this phrase, it was the one that meant kill them all!, he grabbed his twin guns and started shooting, killing many of the priests.)
Evie: Rick!!!!
(Evie is grabbed by 3 mummy priests that drag her to the table, where the shattered remains of Anuksunamun lay, she screams as she is binded to the alter, Rick shoots at the binding mummy priests and knock them down. He shoots off the chains and she is almost free, when he is grabbed by Imhotep and thrown across the room. Rick recovers quickly to find that he again is being thrown across. Imhotep forgets about Jonathan, that has already grabbed the golden book of Amun-Ra, to start deciphering the heiroglyphics. Jonathan who was given back the key, takes the book and opens it to find the part where Imhotep�s immortality can be taken away. He finds the part and reads proudly)
Jonathan: � paraduse paraduse!!!
(Imhotep turns around and gives Jonathan a hateful glance, but then, Imhotep grabs Rick by the neck, while Rick pulls out a sharp dagger and pierces the creatures mortal flesh. Imhotep drops Rick, and walks back into the black putrid goo where he awaits for the next time he is awoken!!! Rick stumbles as he gets up, Rick rushes over to unhook Evie from the alter. Suddenly a twitter is heard. The sound of a billion scarabs covers the silence. They suddenly are seen running towards Rick, Evie and Jonathan (Ardeth Bay left to get rid of the black book and to put it in a more secret place.). They run with all there might. They run right out of Hamunaptra as a swarm of the scarabs scurry out through the sand! They suddenly run into the ground as Rick, Evie and Jonathan reach their camels, Ardeth Bay had already left.)
Rick: Never read a ancient text again!
Evie: Don�t worry, I won�t for a while�
Rick: I still love you though�
(Rick and Evie kiss)
London � The O�Connell residence:
Rick: Here is our new home. Far away from Hamunaptra!
Evie: Oh, Rick its nice, but my job! Its back in Cairo!
Rick: You won�t have to work ever again if you don�t want. We have all we need.
Evie: Still! I�m a librarian!
Rick: There is actually a job open for you at the Brittish Museum. I already have your acceptance notice.
Evie: Oh Rick! I love you!
(More Rick and Evie kissing)
Jonathan: Oh, give me a break!!!
Later:
Evie: Rick!
Rick: Yes�
Evie: Hmm�how long have we been together?
Rick: A year, why?
Evie: How long have we known each other?
Rick: A year and about a week, you still haven�t answered why.
Evie: Well I�ve been thinking, when do we want to start a family?
Rick: I don�t really know�uh�oh look, we both love each other dearly, we both know that we will always be together, um�
Evie: When!?
Rick: I guess soon�
(Evie gives Rick a big hug and kiss)
Evie: I love you sooooo much!!!
Rick: I love you even more!
Evie: Oh�Rick! I do love you with all my heart!

(Alex runs through the cooridors and finds Rick, his father, looking at a small object.)
Alex: Dad, what is that?
Rick: Oh, just a small trinket that I and your mother picked up in Egypt.
Alex: Why do I never get to go there! You always talk about it, and you�ve never taken me!!! Why?!!
Rick: There are a lot of things that you don�t know about�when you are old enough, we will tell you�
Alex: I want to know now!
Rick: Didn�t your mother tell me to go and fetch me?
Alex: Well�yes�
Rick: Lets go down there and please her then ok�

The O�Connell Mansion � Downstairs:
Rick: Well, hello there!
Evie: Oh Rick, there you are!
Rick: Alex wanted to know about Egypt�should we tell him�
