| EPISODE #5 "BACKDOOR'D" PART II After arriving back at camp, Josh had to make admends, and quickly. He talked briefly with Sahara about what to do. They agreed that Sahara would approach Matt and Josh would talk to John. Maybe they could get one of them to jump over and vote with them. "What are you're thoughts on tonight man?" Josh asked. "I haven't really given it much thought just yet, why?" John retaliated. "Honestly, I think it is time to make a bold move." Josh: I really had nothing to lose at that point. I spoke with John, warmed up to him a litte bit. Then a simple plan was hatched. He spoke about his closeness with Bree. I really don't understand it. I knew suggesting to get rid of her tonight was useless. Instead, I approached him with the whole "the merger is on the horizon" angle. "The next immuity challenge is so important for us to win," Josh stated. "Within the next couple of days, we need to build the strongest team to face the members of Cebu. If we go into the merge with a man down, we all lose," he continued. "I totally understand that dude. But Bree and I have a connection. With what you just said though, Becca seems to me, to be the weakest of all of us. She sucks at challenges plain and simple," John said. "Matt or Becca?" Josh asked John: Talking with Josh got me thinking again. The last couple of days I've been thinking about what is best for me now. But what is best for me in the future is the question Josh has me asking myself. He is right to say that we need the strongest team going into this next challenge. I'm torn now. I have ties with Bree and Matt a little. But the most logical is to take out Matt now. He hasn't show that he has the stuff to be a reliable, strong alliance partner. Ah, this is going to be rough. Josh: John HAD to mention Beccas name. Duh, I know shes probobly the weakest person here. But, he doesn't have to know that because she listens to every word I say is why I want to keep her around. Therefore, I pressed for Matt. Matt could have had it easy and just came along with me. He had to hang out Bree tho. It is a shame. By the fire, Bree and Matt were talking while the other tribe members were packing up to head to Tribal Council. "We just have to go in there hoping for the best. Even if it is a tie," Bree said. "I know. Have you cleared the final decision with John yet?" Matt asked. "I'm about to..." Bree: Here we go again. I kinda of feel like deja-vous right now. Last time I was adiment about Josh going home, and now its the same thing but my need for him to go has sky rocketed. There is a plan, all I can hope for now is that it pulls through and gets the villan out of here. Tribal Council was heated. There was discussion about Josh and how a few of the tribemates feel threatened by him. Becca was in the spotlight when John mentioned that if it were about skill and strength she should be going home, but this is a game of strategy and survival. The votes were read, one of the most stressful and suspenseful tribal councils to date. By a vote of 4-2, Matt was voted out having been betrayed by a change of vote thanks to John. When the kitchen got hot, Matt was relatively ready to play dirty. His connection with Bree was his downfall. He let his emotions control his strategy and that is a deadly suicide mix. He did not see that he could have easily gotten past another vote if he only stuck with the power. The power that he was ironically a part of the pervious tribal council. He lasted 15 days and was the 5th person to exit the game. |

| Matt's Final Words I really don't know what went wrong. Everything seems to be lined up for at least a tie vote. Either John or Bree dug a knife deep in my back. Funny that I didn't even think I would ever be the target tonight. I felt a little safe because although this was doomed to be a stressful council, I was okay knowing Bree was the one getting the votes. Silly me to think that, right? What can I say, this game has been a blast. My tribe, for the most part, was enjoyable. That last few days were the most fun, we actually got to a point of plotting and scheming; my personal favourite. The thing that sucks is that Josh got the best of me. Dammit. I can only imagine I'm one of many who will be burned by that creep. Kathleen, Sarah and myself, all victims of Josh's foul play. I guess this is it. See you at the reunion. Peace. |
