beetle:  western air of red sea salts, the duned belly of desert and perfect glass of sky, beetle rolls over sand his ball of dung, stamping his tiny braille onto the earth. upright almost, human, using its tiny weight: Khepri, creator god, sunrise, the globe of dung an emblem of the sun, rolling over dusty sky of Egypt, the fertile burning, festering of the nile and all of life.  as long as this beetle moves alone under the sky, insect sisyphus, wings folded under carapace, there is the far off small and weaving seedling of renewal.
