| Recording Notes & Comments The Dimension Hatros album is where Voivod really began to come into their own. They started showing signs on Killing Technology, but it was Dimension Hatros that showed us what was to come. Gone was Snake's yelling, instead he actually sounded melodic & tried to sing a little. The album was still metal, but a brand of metal that showed intelligence & much creativity. This recording represents a demo of theirs recorded live in Montreal. Voivod bootlegs are hard to come by, particularly one's that don't sound like they've been recorded on dog shit. This one, however does have very good sound & is a must for Voivod fans. Cahgoonis |
| Recorded live in Montreal, Canada on December 21, 1988 in support of their "Killing Technology" album. A soundboard recording, most likely sourced from a fan club release. Sound quality is very good, log gen analog source. But the recording itself is a little lacking in crispness, which might be more of a fault of the venue acoustics as anything else. A great show of a little acredited thrash metal pioneering band. The Digital Dan |
