Recording Notes & Comments
Whereas Dimension ushered in a new era for Voivod, Killing Technology ended one. They still had poor production, but began showing some signs of things to come. There are good songs on it, but there's also a few bad ones. It's kind of like a Dio album in that respect. Disc 1 sounds like a poorly mixed & slightly degregated soundboard & represents an early demo. Compaired to a lot of the Voivod bootlegs I've heard, this one's really pretty good, a little flat, but good.
Disc 2 is a 21 minute recording of bassist Blacky & guitarist Piggy accompanied by a drum machine laying down some experimentation in the studio. It's very interesting, to say the least.
