| When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve their school work status, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the seperate and equal station to which God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel the to the stoppage of homework |
| We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all people are created equal, that they are endowed by there Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are, more free time and less homework. That to secure these rights, schools are instituted among men, deriving there just powers from the consent of the principals, that whenever any form of schooling becomes distructive of these ends, it is the right of the students to alter or abolish it, and to institute new schools, laying its foundation on such principals and oganizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness. The history of the present principals is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over the students. To prove this, let the facts be submitted to a candid country. ������ They repeatedly cast us away without our say in matters such as to prove that we require some athority in the school. ������ They forbid us to leave school for even the small act of getting something to eat during lunch period. ������ Anything we try to say or do to change the school policies have been rejected due to devine athority of the principals. ������ The moment we set foot upon the school grounds we are subjected to new laws that are of no conscience. ������ They stand by idol as we get hours upon hours of homework, need I go on having stated this awful truth ������ Nothing has been done to stop teachers from tourturing there students by giving lectures that take up entire hours, and at the end make no sense what-so-ever. ������ They try to be fasionalbe yet in the end utterly fail and pass bad judgement onto students ������ Although they think they know what there talking about, they conclude by comfusing and disarranging students minds ������ They repeadedly break our constitiution for which they have no right including: Prayer, Clothes, talking, and apparel We therefore, the Students of the United States of America, in General Connection, Assembled, appeling to the the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the name, and by the authority of the good students of these schools, solemnly publish and declare, that these students are and right ought to be free and independent students, that they are absolved for all ties to homework, and that all educational connection between them and the teachers, is and ought to be totaly dissolved, and that as free and independent students, they have full power to have fun, not do homework, play cards in school, and do all other things which independent students may of right do.
