Xbox 360 Mod  
Please note: New xbox 360's that have come out recently have new DVD drives which hold tighter security, The BenQ are now able to be modded but the newer Hitachi DVD ver 79 drives cannot be modified as yet, but should'nt take long until they are, Pictured below are the 3 drives , just check your dvd tray to see which is yours, if its a samsung then your set if its a hitachi and the manufacter date is mid 2006 or early then your set also,  sorry for the inconvenience.
Modifying the Xbox 360 is a 2 hour process, when finished you will be able to play all backup/burnt Xbox 360 games.
There is no need to use any swapping disc nor is there any added chips installed making this mod very stable.
  ( does not burn out your DVD laser like other chipmods can)
So far we are working on the hard drive as to let games be copied to the hard drive like the orig Xbox.
I take very good care of the consoles I work on but please be aware the the Xbox 360 has to be opened to be modified therefore any warranty will be void.

There has been a steady increase of Xbox 360 consoles going faulty in Australia and the UK.
Everything from overheating, dvd drive not reading disc's and hard drives failing so it would be a good idea to use up your warranty before getting it modded as you cannot send a modified xbox 360 back to Microsoft to get fixed, They will find out. Most 360's that fault happen within the first 6 months so if your Xbox 360 is still working after a year's warranty you've got a good one.
Included in the new firmware patches used to mod the 360 are some fixes for the DVD drive which can fix the " Cannot read disc " error which at the moment are only fixable on the samsung drives. Your xbox 360 comes with either a Hitachi drive or a Samsung drive.
The dreaded " 3 red lights Ring of Death error " has popped up on alot of xbox 360's over the last year, this is caused by overheating due to the poor ventilation through the console and weakining the strength/structure of the computer chips inside.


Tips on keeping your xbox 360 cool as possible without opening it up:
* Don't put your xbox upright to use as most of the air needed comes through the side               (bottom when upright) of the console.
* Don't put your xbox in a confined space like a cupboard or stereo cabinet when in use.
* Don't block the fans at rear of console.
