I watched all of the Kenshin OAVs about a year ago. The
strongest point of the OAV is the intense plot. It's really realistic and
the animation is great.
The OAVs are about Kenshin's life from start to finish. In the beginning, he
was an orphan named Shinta whose friends (the people who took care of him
since he was an orphan) were killed so he can survive. He soon meets a
powerful swordsman who teaches him his fighting style. The teacher renames
Shinta to Kenshin. Afterwards, Kenshin refuses to stay with his teacher so
he can go use his skills to help people. But nobody ever expected that he
would become an assasin.
In the future, Kenshin is now a wanderer who helps people to atone for his
sins for killing people.
I absolutely LOVED the music. I believe the music was by the composer Taku
Iwasaki. The OAV is nothing close to the TV series. The OAV in my opinion is
MUCH better.
I highly recommend this OAV. Its out on dvd now, hopefully
you can find the Uncut DVD edition. |
