Part 2

Notes: I'm back again, I would've completed this sooner if not for my moniter breaking down and realizing that I needed to rewrite a good deal of this chapter (I really didn't like how the first draft came out at all). Also since I am author of this fic I decided that Cerebro works when mutants powers are being used only since that works best for the fic.

After school the X-Men gather at the X-mansion for a meeting with thier mentor, Professor Charles Xavier. They take thier time settling into thier appropiate seats for the meeting to start. Soon Xavier enters with Storm following, pushing his wheelchair.

"What is it Professor?" Scott asks assuming his role of leader of the group of teens.

"I need to inform you that I've recently picked up an unknown mutant signiture at your school," Xavier explains," I don't think Magneto or Mystique know of this yet since the signiture is so mild Cerebro barely picked it up."

"So, like, this mutant is a wuss?" Kitty innocently asks.

"Not really Kitty," Xavier answers explaining," it just means that thier powers aren't very strong or haven't developed much since they activated."

"So we're either going to have to find a mutant with weak power or one with a strong power with no idea how to use it," Evan assets.

"That's about right Evan, but since the reading is so small it will be difficult and if the mutant has a powerful but under developed power it could be very dangerous for all parties. You must be careful not to place any one in harm's way at all costs."

"Like looking fo' a needle in a haysack," Rogue muses.

"We've been given more difficult problems to solve," Scott stats soundly then tells the other teens," We need to keep our eyes open for anything unusual around school and even around town. Other than that there's nothing we can do until we learn sho this new mutant is."

"Sounds like a good plan," Jeans says backing him up.

Finally Kurt speaks up and asks," The mutant vould probably be a new student vouldn't it?"

"That's probably a good option," Scott answers.

"Kurt do you think you know the new mutant could be?" Storm asks in spectulation.

"Vell, there is a new kid in one of my classes," he answers a bit nervous with everyone looking at him now.

"Then you should try to find that out yourself," Xavier tells him, "I'm certain you ready to try to do this alone."

Kurt's heart swells with pride at the Professor's words that he doesn't hear the meetings dismissal. Scott ends up dragging him out of the room when the others leave.

***

"I, I didn't mean to," Bobby stammers stepping back away from the half frozen boy in front of him. "I, didn't mean..."

One of the other boys which had, like the one partly encased in ice, been pushing Bobby around like usual faces him in outrage, "What the hell did you do to him you little punk!"

"I, I don't know! I didn't do anything!" Bobby stammers back then races off away from the gathering crowd of curious onlookers and to the only place he can consider safe.

When he rushes through the front door of his house his mother calls out to him but he ignores her. He makes a bee line to his room and once there he jumps onto his bed and hids his face and tears in his pillow.

He can barely hear the startled scream of his mother when she opens his door to find his entire bed encased in ice. But he knew that his life was never going to be the same again.

To Be Continued...

Notes: The next part doesn't need much of a rewrite to fit in so it should be up much quicker than this chapter.
