Entry for June 24, 2006 - Reality is Overrated ![]() The only "reality" show I'm willing to watch is Last Comic Standing. I like stand up comedy (especially when the comics look like Stephen Lynch! too bad they didn't get him to host) anyway, so I can overlook the whole living in the same house toss. A weekly dose of comedy during the summer is probably something we can all use. I do not understand the appeal of any of the other shows, though. I mean, I get bored during the thirty second commercial spots, so how do people endure an hour of the same every week? I think I've come up with the basis for a much more compelling show, however.... Picture this: Hitching Across The US The game is simple - go from ME to CA. The participants will be divided into two group - hitch hikers and drivers. The catch is that the hitch hikers must accept all rides offered on their way to CA. The drivers, on the other hand, must give rides to anyone who requests one. Whoever makes it all the way to CA - if anyone does - will split the cash prize. Wouldn't you watch that? I wonder if I can sell the idea to FOX... 2006-06-25 17:42:12 GMT
