19 THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT SANDARA...

1. Sandara's barkada at the Philippine Pasay Chung Hua Academy is called the Powerpuff Girls (PPG). There are six of them: Sandy and schoolmates Genevieve Ong, Dianne Reyes, Raquel Ang, Anabel Canlas and Jennelyn Verzosa. Sandy gave the group its name, "kasi gaya ng Powerpuff Girls, may matapang at may masungit sa group namin." say Anabel and Jennelyn.

2. Her slim figure will belie it, but Sandy loves to eat. After school, she and her friends go to McDonald's, where Sandy feasts on her favorite McSpaghetti.

3. Sandy's mom waits up for her every night without fail, no matter how late Sandy comes home.

4. One of her friends told Sandy about the SCQ auditions. They both went, but it was Sandy who got into the top 200.

5. A very generous person, Sandy loves buying gifts for her friends. Usually, she buys at Blue Magic. She used to hang out at Robinsons Galleria and Glorietta in Makati before becoming famous.

6. She loves fried kimchi and sinigang, friend chicken, Hawaiian flavor pizza and sisig.

7. Sandy is allergic to fancy jewelry.

8. When SCQ was just starting, Joross would take Sandy home, because she lives in Manila, and Joross, in Las Pinas. "She's a sweet friend. She treats me, lalo na nung nanalo siya as texter's choicde nung grand finals night," says Joross of the person he refers to as his "little sister."

9. One of Sandy's plans is to have a concert of her own at the Araneta Coliseum, where she will sing Christina Aguilera's song Dirty.

10. She also wants to go back to school next year and pursue a degree in Mass Communications.

11. She enjoys surfing the internet with her younger sister Durami, visiting the sites like www.friendster.com and www.yahoogroups.com.

12. Smile In Your Heart, which was popularized by Jam Morales in the 80's, will be one of the songs on Sandy's debut album under Star Records. The other cuts will include Sabi Ko Na Nga Ba, In or Out, Mapasagot Mo Kaya and one Korean song.

13. Sandara, says her friends, is more of a listener than an adviser. "No comment lang siya minsan," smiles Jennelyn.

14. Sandy loves fair-skinned guys, and Patrick is really one of her crushes.

15. When they were in third year high school, Sandy was quite popular with the guys. She didn't have a boyfriend, but she had flings.

16. Sandy used to entertain her suitors through text. When a guy she liked texted her, she'd text him back. Otherwise, "deadma na lang."

17. When Sandy dresses up in the morning, she usually doesn't know what to wear. So she pulls out all her clothers from her closet. By the time she leaves, her room is a mess!

18. Sandara spends time with younger sister Durami by indulging in girl talk.

19. Sandy says she knows how her fans feel, because as a fan back in Korea, she used to line up for concert tickets starting in the morning.
