FUTURE PERFECT
She will probably get even busier as the days go by. In fact, Sandy has
never even gotten her high school diploma because according to the school,
she has to make up for the 42 absences she incurred due to her showbiz
commitments.
And it's not just Sandara whose life has been turned on its head by
showbiz. "Sometimes, I am doing something important or I am bathing, and
the telephone will ring [for Sandara]," says Mrs. Park.
The worst part about it is when the callers lie just to talk to her
daugther. "They say they are friends of Sandara, or that they are from the
studio [ABS-CBN], and she has a schedule today." What they don't know is
that Sandy and her mother already know every litttle thing she'll be doing
up to 2005 - she's so busy that her schedule is packed for a whole year!
But Direk Lauren Dyogi says that despite all the work coming her way, this
is not the time for Sandara to be complacent. "I always tell her na wala
pang tumagal sa showbiz na hindi marunong mag-Tagalog - from Dayanara
[Torres] to Troy Montero]. She will have to work hard at learning the
language kung gusto niyang tumagal sa showbiz."
Her friends Annabel Canlas and Jennelyn Verzosa have a different wish. "
Sana mag-aral siya ulit, kasi para sa amin, saglit lang naman ang showbiz,"
says the two.
Whatever she decides, they swear to stand by her. "We really miss Sandara,
lalo na yung kakulitan niya. But at the same time, we're happy for her
that she's already living her dreams," they continue. "Bata pa lang kasi
siya, gusto na niya mag-artista."
