LIFE CYCLE
I nibble at the darkened nut of evening,
chew the chewing gum of dusk.
Loading my eyes with the brightness of the afternoon,
I step into the world of light
and take a stroll with the sunshine;
reach the furthest fringe of the wind and return.
At night I pull over me the quilt of darkness.
Putting out eyes along the length of the night
and bolt securely the door of sleep.
I relish the chocolate of morning.
In the curved path of life,
a mound of deeds is made.
I move the tongue of wisdom.
In search of truth, I savor the taste of every moment.
And as a penny or two,
I keep on using,
keep on spending,
myself.
