                Black Bear
The black bear is the smallest of North American bears.  It is fully grown at 5-6 years and can live up to 30 years.  It is widely distributed throughout all of  Canada.
        Kermode or Spirit Bear   The spirit bear is a subspecies of the black bear.  One in ten is cream coloured while others are plain black.  This bear lives only on the Pacific coast of British Columbia.

                Grizzly Bear
The Grizzly is a large and powerful bear.  An adult male can grow to 400 lb. The female grows to 2/3 the size of the male.  These bears are found in the Western Mountain regions of Canada and U.S.
