| James Bond 007 Series
Sean Connery From Dr. No to Never Say Never Again. Connery is, in my not so humble opinion, the best 007 ever. He is in the best three James Bond movies ever made: Gold Finger, Thunderball, and Octopussy. Sure Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again aren't that good, but he was coerced into doing them. You should definitely check out all of these. Pieces of Useless Knowledge: Sean Connery made Never Say Never Again after he said he'd never play James Bond again. This movie happens to be a remake of Thunderball. The ships are even named the same but in different languages: Disco Valante and Flying Saucer. Rodger Moore Without question his best Bond flick was The Man with the Golden Gun. I mean who can say no to a three nippled Count Dooku wielding a single shot golden pistol concealed as a lighter and pen, and there's a midget. Don't miss out on Moonraker, either. Check out all of his. Pieces of Useless Knowledge: Prior to becoming 007 Moore portrayed Beau Maverick on the Western TV series. And yet another example of Christopher Lee always being the bad guy. George Lazenby Honestly skip this part, Please. One Bond flick: On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Pieces of Useless Knowledge: Lazeby turned down a five Bond contract to pusue other opportunities. He starred in only two more major movies. In OHMSS you find out if it's true what Scotsmen don't wear beneath their kilts. Timothy Dalton License to Kill SUCKS. Need I say more? Pieces of Useless Knowledge: Dalton gave up being a good guy and became a Nazi spy in Rocketeer. He too turned down a five bond contract. Pierce Brosnan Finally another good Bond. Be sure to catch all of these. Great Jokes and puns. And John Cleese takes over for Desmond Llewellyn as Q. And Aston Martin once again becomes the Bond vehicle of choice. Pieces of Useless Knowledge: Finally someone accepts the five picture deal. Prior to being 007 Brosnan starred on the TV show Remington Steel. Golden Eye lead to the worst video game missions ever: Protect Natalya. Also, Die Another Day is actually a remake of Diamonds Are Forever... for the most part. End Bond Reviews Old B Dracula Movies Sure they may be old. They were B grade. But who can honestly so no to Count Dooku versus Grand Moff Tarkin. Two of the somewhat prominent Star Wars villains duking it out in 18th century Transylvania. Christopher Lee does an awesome job of portraying the Dark Count, and Peter Cushing does justice to the role of Van Hellsing. Pieces of useless knowledge: This was the first major role for both of these actors. Yet they each get killed by a Skywalker. Monty Python and the Holy Grail Coconuts? African or European swallow? It's merely a flesh wound. She turned me into a newt. She has great tracts of land. I am known as... Tim. Sharp p'inted teeth. It jumps like... It attacks like...... Look at the bones, man. Bring forth the Holy Hand-Grenade of Antioch. It's the man from Scene 23. What is your favorite color? Blue. No, Yellooooooooooooooowwwww. These are some of the great quotes from one of the funniest movies ever made. From the Black Night to the Trojan Bunny. If you haven't seen it I will come over to your house, duct tape to you to your couch, brace your eyes open, and force you to do so. I'm not quite dead yet... I'm getting better. And now for something completely different. Pieces of useless knowledge: On the DVD edition you can watch to Camelot scene done in Lego. Or watch it with Henry III subtitles. Tron It is the predecessor to Reboot. Take Star Wars computer animation, Disney ingenuity, and Atari video games, mix them all together; and thus you have Tron. It shows the true darkside to technology and artificial intellegence. Believe in the Users. Pieces of Useless Knowledge: All of the scenes inside the computer are completely back lit, yay. Light cycles are the coolest form of transportation EVER. |
