Today I was getting my Remicade. I had asked the nurses before they tried to put an IV in me if they could call my GI doctor and see if I could get a PICC line instead of an IV because I was going to get Remicade infusions for a while. Whats the use of getting a new IV everytime? But of course the nurses didn't listen to me. After they realized that my veins were bad they called the doctor and he ordered the PICC line. The Remicade took 2 hours to infuse, then I was sent home.
Even while I was still at the hospital I had started having lower back pain. My doctor had ordered 2 percocets to help with the pain. After that I was at home and I went to my local emergency room 5 times in less than a week. They started thinking I was crazy or something. Then my PCP admitted me for 2 night to figure out what was causing all my back pain. My MRI came back normal and I was sent home. The very next night, on August 29th, I started getting horrible back pain again so I called my Doctor up. He said that my pain receptors were over reacting and to take a nerve pill. To say the least I was very upset at what he said. It was like since they had no other reason for my back to hurt, then it was definitaly coming from my brain. But I eventually fell asleep..unaware of what was going to happen next.
